The beginning of February seems to be an invisible starting mark for brides in the final push of preparation for their wedding and we have had some lovely bookings this week.
I find myself getting
really excited for ladies (and gents) that I have never met before and love to
help them complete their day.
With lots of weddings to prepare for, I've started to organise all of our beautiful vintage china. Its been packed away for a couple of months and I'd forgotten how beautiful these little bits of history really are.
Vintage China has seen a huge resurgence in recent years. Partly because it's greener (we love to re-use & re-love!) but also because it's a much prettier alternative to using plain white china - a favourite with Brides, Hens and Baby Shower organisers because its a simple way to make a table look wonderful!
Our vintage china tea cups are so beautiful, I wish I could display them all! Alas, we only have room for these beauties on our dresser.
Even the teapots are pretty!
Vintage Fact: Did you know that tea cups were once handle-less and called 'tea bowls'. Originally from China, the bowls were deemed too messy for 16th Century English folk, so a nice man called Robert Adams added the handle, enlongated the body and added the saucer, teapot, bowl and milk jug. Creating the 'Tea Service' that we use today.
We hire china (and props) for all of these events:
weddings, baby showers, hen parties, tea parties, christenings, birthday
parties, Mad Hatter tea parties, window displays, photo & film shoots and exhibitions and some we haven't thought of yet!
Our stock includes over 1000 pieces of vintage china, including teacups and saucers, cake plates,
teapots, sugar bowls, milk jugs, plates, platters, terrines, cake stands and even tea trolleys for
hire and offer a bespoke service, including event management. Click here to
