Our First Year

As we start taking bookings for a new wedding season, I thought it would be nice to look back at 2012 and some of the fab events that we've been lucky enough to work on.

Its been a really huge year and I was pregnant with our daughter for most of it but we never let that stop us and I'm proud to have been involved in so many wonderful occasions.

Our vintage china has been hugely popular and we supplied the crockery, tableware and props for countless, glorious, summer weddings. We also  furnished a Mad Hatters Tea Party at Duxford, Imperial War Museum (one of my personal favourites so far!) and created a vintage tea party for a beautiful christening and after-party.

In July, we tailored our bespoke 'Kissing Booth' for a 20s themed wedding at the yummy Hawksmoor Restaurant in London. The location was fabulous and the guests even more so. The kids (and adults) had great fun with our vintage dressing up box, speech bubble chalk board and Polaroid camera! 


And just as the wedding season was slowing down, we had a run of corporate bookings. Supplying props for a cookery book launch in London and our Kissing Booth to Virgin Media for a PR stunt involving Joey Essex.

We've also been lucky enough to be featured in both the local and national press. Including OK! Magazine, The Daily Mail and Cambridge Edition.

Our roving vintage eye is always on the look out for preloved furniture to upcycle and beautiful objects to style so we're constantly adding more stock to our Aladdin's cave in the country. We've also started sourcing  items for clients and have be known to scour the country for vintage goodies.

We LOVE what we do and hope that 2013 brings as many friends, fun and fabulous events as 2012.

About Us

Our little company, Saffron Vintage Hire & Events, supplies all manner of vintage props and crockery to brides, party planners, photographers, retailers, corporate companies, tv and film. We can also help with styling and event management. This blog shares our vintage style and life online. We’ll keep you up to date with what’s happening at in the world of Saffron Vintage but from time to time, we’ll add a smidgeon of other things we love; design, renovation, craft, fashion, babies, gardening and probably some whimsy.
